The Application Process

Every applicant is required to submit an application through the official Jefferson Business School Student Application Portal .

The application process usually takes about 10 minutes to finish, maybe a bit more, depending. After you submit, our admissions team will go through it within roughly 48 business hours. If you happen to not hear back by then, please reach out at admissions@jiu.edu so we can check your application status.

For certain campus-based programs, there could be application fees, that’s possible.

Things To Know First

The Jefferson Business School Application Form is required if you are applying to any of our academic programs, yes.

Before you actually apply please review the admission requirements for the program you chose. Different programs might ask for specific academic qualifications, or they may expect certain prior educational achievements, sort of.

  • If you are applying for a Bachelor’s program you should look carefully at the admission criteria shown on the specific program page.
  • For Master’s programs, applicants need to satisfy the eligibility requirements that are written for the selected program.
  • For MBA and Master’s applicants, it is usually expected that you already have a recognized undergraduate qualification, or an equivalent academic credential.
  • Certificate programs are meant for professional growth and continuing learning, and they may come with more flexible admission requirements depending on the individual program.

When To Apply?

You can join our on- campus programs by sending in your application for a particular intake . You can jump into our online programs at any moment once the Admission Committee has finished reviewing your submission. Just make sure you really have the required qualification for each one of our programs.

What Happens Next?

After your application gets reviewed and approved, you ll be sent an official Admission Letter from Jefferson Business School, just confirming you have been accepted into the program you selected.

Once you finish the required enrollment formalities and any payments that apply, you will then receive access credentials for the universities online learning environment, the student portal, plus academic materials and support services.

Our admissions group and student support team will walk you through each part of the onboarding process to help make sure your start is smooth, and not confusing or stalled.
